The rebuilt PahRoo site is complete and staged for review, with every live URL preserved and search visibility protected.
This report covers Phase One of the PahRoo website rebuild: what was completed, how your existing search rankings were protected, and what happens next. It also answers the question raised about the 454 tag URLs removed from the sitemap.
The short version. The site has been rebuilt with all 602 pages in place, every one of your existing URLs preserved so no ranking or inbound link is lost, your content now withheld from AI model training, and all four website forms delivering enquiries to appraisal@pahroo.com. Nothing is public yet and your current site is running normally.
What we need from you and your team:
Everything else on the list is ours. There is no technical work for your team at any point.
Phase One rebuilt the PahRoo website on a faster, more secure platform while protecting the search equity the current site has earned. Every page, article, and category URL carries across unchanged. The site is staged privately and ready for your review.
Search rankings and inbound links attach to specific URLs, so a rebuild that changes them gives up ground that took years to earn. The new site serves every address the current site serves:
Category archives were verified article by article against the current site. All 19 match exactly, including parent archives that gather their sub-category articles.
| Category archive | Current site | New site |
|---|---|---|
| Residential Appraisal | 37 | 37 |
| Commercial Appraisals | 35 | 35 |
| Real Estate | 27 | 27 |
| Market Insights | 26 | 26 |
| Services Offered | 5 | 5 |
Legacy addresses left behind by the previous theme, including placeholder demo pages that shipped with it, now redirect to the appropriate destination so nothing returns an error.
Those URLs were unnecessary in the sitemap. They have not been removed from the site, and that distinction is the whole answer.
They are tag archives generated automatically by WordPress, not pages anyone wrote: 454 of 637 submitted URLs, or roughly three quarters of everything PahRoo was asking Google to index. Each is a heading followed by a list of links, with no unique writing of its own, and many overlap heavily with one another.
On backlinks specifically: all 454 tag pages still exist and still work.
The new site serves all 454, matching the current site exactly, so any inbound link or
saved bookmark continues to resolve. They now carry a noindex, follow
instruction, which does two things:
A sitemap is a request to index, not a store of value. Removing these from it concentrates Google's attention on the pages that can actually rank and win work. The pages that do attract inbound links, the five city pages, were treated the opposite way: URLs kept, content strengthened.
PahRoo content is now withheld from AI model training while remaining fully available to the search and answer engines that send visitors. These are separate systems controlled separately, so you get both.
| Crawler type | What it does | Setting |
|---|---|---|
| Model training | Ingests your writing to train AI models. Returns nothing to you. | Blocked |
| AI answer engines | Reads pages to cite PahRoo in ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity answers. | Allowed |
| Google Search | Standard indexing and ranking. | Allowed |
| Siri and Spotlight | Surfaces PahRoo on Apple devices. | Allowed |
Nine training crawlers are blocked, including those operated by OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Apple, Amazon, and Meta. Google Search ranking is entirely unaffected, since the training permission and the search crawler are separate controls.
Two settings on the current site were also corrected. One crawler intended to be blocked was in fact permitted, and Apple's crawler was blocked in a way that prevented Siri and Spotlight from surfacing the site at all. Both now behave as intended.
All four website forms now deliver to appraisal@pahroo.com: quote requests, preliminary analysis requests, feedback, and newsletter signups. Replying in your inbox goes straight back to the enquirer.
Each submission arrives as a clearly labelled summary with the property address, purpose, and timeline where provided. Spam is filtered automatically without adding a puzzle for genuine visitors to solve, the forms work even with JavaScript disabled, and if delivery is ever interrupted the visitor is shown your phone number and email address rather than a false confirmation.
The site is staged privately, so it is not publicly visible and cannot be indexed by search engines ahead of launch. Your current site continues to run normally and is unaffected by this work.
A review password needs to be applied to the staging site, and the email service needs
to be connected so form submissions begin arriving at
appraisal@pahroo.com. Both are short configuration tasks handled on our
side. Once complete, each form will be tested end to end and confirmed as received
before your review begins.
